On today’s episode we take the Gladiator and our good friend’s nicely built Bronco out for a stroll on some of the most popular trails in southern California. These trails will be flooded with teams all summer as everyone runs from the desert to stay cool. Enjoy as we break down the most important sections so you know what to expect.

John Bull, one of the most famous and popular trails in Big Bear, is also one of the hardest. Rated a difficult 7, it begins with the famous Gatekeeper and continues with large boulder gardens and climbs. Without proper clearance and protection, expect some scrapes and dents.

Gold Mountain, while rated a 5, has gotten more difficult over the years from deterioration/wash outs. It’s known for its infamous “glass garden”— a self-evident name after watching this video!

Important: Know what you're getting into before committing to the trail! We point out some areas where drivers have been creating new routes to bypass obstacles. Keep it up, and BLM will continue to close more trails!
