Since the success of the 6th generation Ford Bronco, there have been rumors that Ford is working on a Bronco pickup that would compete with the Jeep Gladiator— even with inside sources confirming the project was “fast-tracked.” Additionally, Ford showed the concept in an early Bronco design video. The original Bronco was offered in a pickup variant, so, the rumor seemed all but certain.

However, inside sources have told Automotive News that the Bronco Pickup is officially dead.

Although it’s not that surprising with the recently launched 2024 Ford Ranger, which shares the same platform with the Bronco. And the updated version is far more off-road capable that previous models. Early reviews of the new Ranger have been very positive, especially regarding the power and off-road capability of the Ranger Raptor.

And similar to Bronco Off-Roadeo, Ford is offering a Ranger Raptor Assault School. Located in Utah, the one-day course at the Ford Performance School is complimentary to Ranger Raptor owners. Like the school for its Bronco sibling, the curriculum will include lessons in rock crawling, Baja runs, side-hilling, descending and braking. And once again, Ford will be providing the trucks for their pupils.
